THERMAL IMAGING

First Home Inspections is proud to offer Thermal Imaging as an add on service for your home inspection.

What is Thermal Imaging?

Thermal Imaging is the detection of heat radiation in the long infrared range of electromagnetic spectrum using a camera which will give a visual display of the variances of that heat radiation.

In Lamens terms, it detects differences in the temperature of objects that we can't see with our eyes and produces a photo using different colors to represent different temperatures.

What benefit can this add to a home inspection?

Thermal imaging can help show things which you may not be able to see with the naked eye.  Things such as slight water leaks hidden in insulation, missing insulation, electrical issues, thermal loss around windows and doors, leaking A/C air ducting.

The impact these can have on your home can include structural damage, fire, how efficient the HVAC is to how comfortable how comfortable you are while relaxing.
